Below is the briefing paper one of our parents used to brief their son’s pre-school and primary school. In it you’ll see that they have tried to give the school the right balance of enough information without giving not too much to avoid overwhelming them. Its important to try and avoid people getting too overwhelmed by information as this can actually decrease their confidence and their ability to manage and neutralise the situation for your child. Which in the end, is what really matters. So your aim should be to tell them a little bit but to highlight what they need to be mindful of (and to keep that to a minimum). We hope this is helpful.
